Wanna feel smooth(ie)?!

Summer is coming and the sun is squeezing all the energy we get up with in the morning. That’s why I would declare the smoothie season open! 🙂

I made 2 types of smoothie: banana and strawberry & grapefruit and orange.

Here are the ingredients:

  • Bananas – 2 pieces
  • Strawberries – 250 gr
  • Grapefruit – I choose to put 2 pieces
  • Orange – 2 pieces as well
  • Milk – 400 – 500 ml
  • Honey
  • Ice

Of course, the proportion of any of the fruits above or of the milk can be changed according to everyone’s pallet and fruit preference. You can add more strawberries and less banana and so on.

Kitchen instruments:

  • Glass for measuring the milk
  • Blender
  • Knife – for peeling and chopping the fruits

How I did it:

Step 1

Peel and chop: I started with washing the strawberries, peeling the grapefruits and oranges and finally I chopped them, but not in small pieces, in bigger ones so that the juice remains in the blender and not on the chopper.

Step 2

Get the milk: I got the milk out of the fridge and measured 400 gr of milk so that when I needed to add the milk I had all measured and ready to go in.

Step 3

Assemble the blender: With my boyfriend’s help I assembled the blender and test it first. I got it at the highest level possible because I wanted my smoothies to be creamy. All good.

Step 4

Start getting the smoothies shaking’! One by one I added the grapefruits and oranges. All this time the blender was on and mixing all things together. Then I added ice (2 cubes were enough for me) and then the milk and mixed it all again. Last but not least I added some honey. 4 tea spoons. Step 1

Step 5

Get the first smoothie out! First, I tasted it. It got all I wanted and tasted as I wanted. I poured the result into the glass. Smelled awesome and looked pretty. 🙂 2

Step 6

Next to the other smoothie: Before going to the next smoothie, the blender must be cleaned so that the strawberry-banana smoothie doesn’t taste like orange & grapefruit. After cleaning the blender I put the first 3 strawberries, then one piece of banana, then another 3 strawberries and another piece and banana and so on. One by one while the blender was on. Then added the ice and mixed again. Afterwards, I added the milk (the other 200 ml) and then the honey. (4 tea spoons also) 3

Step 7

Taste this smoothie! Yes, this smoothie must be tasted also. I added more honey for the flavor and that was it. 4
