Ramen dish with a twist!

Here’s my ramen dish with a twist and 2 types of protein!

My husband came home one day craving for ramen! Lucky me, I had a pack of noodles which I easily transformed in ramen!

Here’s my recipe:


  • 1 pork steak and 1 beef steak
  • 2 packs of noodles (150 gr each)
  • mushrooms
  • kale
  • peppers
  • onions (if you want)
  • butter, olive oil, soy sauce
  • salt, pepper, cumin, basil, chilli flakes

Kitchen tools

  • wok (pan)
  • pot for boiling noodles
  • bowl to serve

How I did it

Step 1

Prep the steaks and the noodles
Take the steaks, wash them and get rid of the extra amount of fat on the pork steak. 😉 Also, on the pork steak I gently "draw" 3 fine cuts so that the juice and flavours get inside the steaks easily! Season the steaks with salt, pepper, cumin, a bit of chilli flakes. Heat the wok (or pan) and then drop 1 tablespoon of olive oil in there! 40 seconds after, drop the steaks and on top of them add some butter! These will give the steaks a very juicy flavour and a softer texture especially to the beef one.

For the noodles, I said it's "ramen with a twist" because the noodles I used are not ramen noodles but can be treated the same! I filled the kettle with water and let to boil. Once boiled i dropped the heated water in the pot and added salt. 30 seconds after, i added the noodles packs (x2). Let the finish boiling for another 10-12 minutes, medium heat. Easy peasy!

Step 2

Cook the steaks
I recommend cooking the 2 steaks in separate pans or one after another not in the same pan / wok. So that the pork and beef flavours stay unmixed. I cooked the beef steak on both sides for about 3.5 minutes each side. And the pork steak a bit longer, about 5 minutes each side. Then, get the out and let rest for 3 minutes before cutting in slices.

Step 3

Cook the veggies and noodles
In the same sauce steak sauce I dropped the peppers, onions, kale, mushroom. And I garnished the beef steak with the mushroom + kale and the pork steak with peppers + onions. On top of each pair of vegetables, i added noodles. This is when I amplified the flavour with soy sauce and basil. Leave to stir for another 7-10 minutes. Don't be afraid to bring up the heat!

Step 4

Ramen noodles x 2!
10 minutes later, it's ready to be served! Take a bowl, add noodles and the vegetables: noodles with peppers and onions in a bowl and the noodles with mushroom and kale into a different bowl. Don't forget to drop the sauce from the wok/pan on top! Then add the meat slices: pork slices in the first bowl, beef slices in the second. Voila, brunch is served! Ramen with a twist!

Beef and potato dish

Beef and potato will do the trick in a Sunday afternoon. In the oven for 40 minutes. Simple and delicious.
