Frittata, a dish that the Italian people just love! Here is a beautiful frittata with what I had left in the fridge:

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 red peppers
  • Cheese from grandma’
  • Parmesan
  • Onions
  • Ginger
  • Salt, pepper
  • olive oil

Kitchen tools:

  • Pan
  • Bowl for mixing the eggs
  • Grater

How I did it:

Step 1

The eggs
Choose the oldest eggs from your fridge (not expired of course) - why? because when mixing egg yolks, if you want a beautiful & composed meringue you must use the oldest eggs from your fridge.
ingredients Now start mixing the eggs with a fork until you are happy with the mixture. Add salt an pepper and mix a bit more. Let it rest and start chopping the red peppers.

Step 2

Add the rest
Once I left the eggs to rest a while, I started chopping the red peppers. I added the peppers into the egg mixture. I chopped an onion as well. Everybody loves onion in the eggs. Last but not least, I cut the cheese also and added it the last into the mixture.

Step 3

Flavor
I wanted to give it an elegant punch so I started chopping ginger as well. And add it. I tasted the composition, added a touch of salt and done.

Step 4

Cook the frittata
I left the mixture rest while I prepared the pan. Once the pan got hot enough, I started adding the egg composition into the pan, carefully not to drop. I added the egg, red peppers and onion mixture first and left the cheese to drop on top. It made the frittata more soft and juicy.

Step 5

…parmesan would do the trick! I grate some parmesan on top and left it to cook for about 7 minutes.

Step 6

Get it into the oven
Once I was happy with the bottom crust, I added the pan into the oven and left it to cook for how long it was necessary. I can vary depending on the oven. I know I left it for another 15 minutes or so.

“Snow” mushroom salad

Mushrooms. So simple  to cook and, perhaps, one of the few ingredients that are tasty even raw. Mushrooms are a good source of B vitamin and are very good in diets because mushroom have so little calories and are fatless.
