Healthy asparagus you’ve gotta love

If you don’t love asparagus, then i don’t know what you love! it’s tasty, delicious, earthy and healthy! I feel it’s the perfect vegetable to be equally enjoyed by both vegetarians and meat lovers.

Here’s my recipe for you! πŸ™‚

Ingredients

  • fresh asparagus - 500 grams
  • olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • salt, pepper
  • some bacon for the meat lovers
  • lots of love

Kitchen tools

  • wok

How I did it

Step 1

Prepp'ing asparagus is piece of cake!
Just wash the asparagus, chop the hard tail and make sure you leave the top flour. Wash carefully, season gently with salt and herbs and get the wok hot!
We bought the asparagus from Tesco, with 3 x 250 grams/pack at 4 pounds! That's a good deal!

Step 2

Cook the asparagus!
Get some olive oil in the wok and drop the asparagus!

Let cook for 5 minutes and then drop 1 spoon of balsamic vinegar! If you're half likes meat and bacon (of course) wrap some of the asparagus in bacon! it will make magic!

Leave the asparagus to cook until it gets a fried-peanuts smell! And taste! Don't leave it too much because it's going to overcook and get too soft. You don't want it soft, you still need the asparagus to be slightly crunchy!
I kept it in the wok for 15-20 minutes, medium heat.
