My boyfriend hates potatoes, in general, but love wedges. Interesting, I know. That is why I decided to cook him the perfect, crispy, golden wedges. My perfect crispy, golden wedges.
- potatoes (1 kg)
- rosemary, salt, pepper, paprika, oragano (or basil)
- olive oil
- sharp knife
- pot for boiling
- oven tray
- baking paper
How I did it
Prep the P-O-T-A-T-O! Peel the potatoes, cut in half, then the 2 pieces resulting, cut these in half too. Put them all in a bowl, wash, season properly with: salt, pepper, rosemary, paprika (if you want), oregano (or basil).
Boil the potatoes & Prep for oven! Once you've added the potatoes in a pot, let them boil for 10-15 minutes. Just until the fork can gently perforates the potato. Once that accomplished, turn the fire off and remove the pot. Get the potatoes out using a strainer, then put the potatoes on a napkin and absorb the remaining water and amidine. Once done, prep the potatoes for the oven tray following the next steps.
Ready for the oven! First, add the baking paper in the tray; Second, turn the oven on at 220 degress Celcius; Third, add the potatoes in the tray and season properly with salt, pepper, rosemary, sweet paprika powder, oregano/basil And, of course, add the potatoes in the oven! Leave for 20 minutes until they catch the golden color that you like. Periodically check the oven and if you want them more golden, more crispy, leave the potatoes in the oven for another 5-10 minutes. Serve with...almost anything 😉 A good steak or simple, just with some tomato sauce. I choose a burger with a barbeque sauce!
