Broccoli sauted!

What about a healthier garnish for the Christmas protein!? Choose broccoli instead of the clasic potatoes!

Yep, i want to convince mom not to make any potato garnish for the Christmas steak this year! Potato is not the healthiest garnish, neither baked nor puree and especially not fried. So, let’s try a green friend – broccoli – Cook to smile recipe!


  • broccoli - 500 gr
  • onion - 1 medium size onion
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • olive oil (1 table spoon); soya sauce (1 table spoon)
  • season with: salt, pepper, paprika, oregano
  • tomato sauce

How I did it

Step 1

First, prep the brocolli
Cut the broccoli bouquet, wash and add the pieces into the pot with boiling water and salt. Leave them to boil al dente for 10-12 minutes.

Step 2

Get the wok on fire!
In the meantime, chop onion and garlic and add olive oil into the wok. Saute these until onion gets the golden color. onion sauted cook to smile
Season with salt, pepper, paprika and leave at medium fire.

Step 3

Get the broccoli sauted
15 minutes passed, get the broccoli out of the pot and add them into the wok, over the onion and garlic. And mix!

Then, add tomato sauce! I added about 2-3 table spoons.

Now, add soy sauce and mix. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. And of course the oregano!
